From 3D to reality

This was the first time I came in contact with a tech fair in my life. A great tech booth design hinges on the “less is more” principle. Focusing on launching the brand instead everything the company offered was crucial. The challenge was to intrigue and draw customers in, allowing for meaningful face-to-face interactions amongst other designs.

I started by focusing on a sustainable and timeless booth with elements that could be changeable. It was important to make sure to include plenty of lighting in the design too make it easy to see us on the trade show floor. It was also designed with comfort in mind. Comfortable seating and other small details go a long way in making customers want to stick around. I wanted it to be open to the flow of traffic so people easily could access our booth and become attractive to customers.

I designed the booth in 3D, made new covers for the furniture, aligned with the budget and had communication with the builders. Then the idea of an arcade was born. A place for creativity and iteration that draws people’s interest and represent “creative tech for better change“.

People truly enjoyed the futuristic arcade vibe and the concept in the booth. “The best booth the company have ever had”, “We must show this to France” and “This is so clean and fresh, really stands out in the fair” was just a few complements I received during Øredev from managers, visitors and colleagues. And I couldn’t be prouder of what I accomplished.

The arcade game

Oh no this can’t be happening! The rabbit is running late and you are the only one who can help him get to the queen in time! Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum will not let you pass them before you teach them how to spell;  Pneumonoultranicroscopicsilico
volcanoconiosis. You need to hurry! But remember, the Queen of hearts does not like white, only red.

Game rules: Write the word as fast as you can. When you are right, the letter is red. When you are wrong the letter is white and the only way to get forward is to make everything red. You will be punished with 1 second every time a letter is white and will not be able to get there faster until you have corrected all your mistakes.

Help the Bunny

This game was developed specifically for the Øredev conference in 2022, which embraced an “Alice in Wonderland” theme. To align with this theme, our booth was designed to evoke the atmosphere of an arcade, featuring vibrant neon lights and prominent Devoteam branding.

The primary objectives of the game were to generate interest in Devoteam, attract potential clients, and promote our newly re-branded identity. Drawing inspiration from the whimsical and rule-defying nature of “Alice in Wonderland,” the game was intentionally designed to be annoying and confusing, challenging conventional rules and expectations.
